I’m Vegan For 7 Years – This Is The Best Advice I’ve Got In That Time:
I’m vegan for almost seven years now and one of the best things that i’ve learned or the best advice that i’ve gotten in those seven years is that:
You should be the vegan that you wish you would have met before going vegan.
Too many vegans ignore that advice and they run around chopping off heads – figuratively – as this would be the French revolution, right?
Forgetting that this is not how you reach an agreement in today’s age. This is not how you persuade people.
The way you truly persuade people to follow your way is with two things:
1. Be a positive vegan role model
Aka: You must have your own shit together.
Too many people do not have their own shit together and then wonder:
“Why is no one listening to me?”
Because people listen to people that have their own shit together. In the sense of a dietary topic – which veganism is – this means that you must be in shape.
That’s why The GameChangers documentary has been so wildly successful. Because everyone in the documentary:
Arnold, James Wilks, Nimai Delgado, Patrik Baboumian, The NFL players – had their own shit together.
2. You do not persuade people with combat
Most vegans try to force their opinion down someone’s throat. This is more strengthening their own ego than effective strategy.
- When was the last time you’ve heard of someone that changed their opinion after combat?
- Or: When was the last time you’ve pestered someone soo much that they changed their life radically?
Most people can’t name a single time. Because people have enough problems and struggles already.
The way you truly persuade people is with an empathetic understanding of their situation. And therefore showing people that you have their best interest in mind
